The aptly named plot at Fontfleurie entered the Jade Vineyards stable in 2018. It lies at the foot of the stunning medieval village of Saint-Emilion, between Château Ausone and Château Pavie-Macquin. Included with this purchase, were 17 hectares of vines in Saint-Hippolyte. The Papon-Nouvel family, who had converted to organic methods fifteen years earlier, had previously cultivated both plots. Together the plots form the basis for our cuvée Fontfleurie. A fruity, easy-drinking wine that is also delicate and smooth. It aims to change the way we drink Saint Emilion wines: it’s a rule breaker. We bet that like us, you will no longer keep this wine for Sunday lunch but serve it instead as an aperitif with pinchos, Mangalica ham and gorgeous olives from our olive groves of Catalonia
